Brief
Project Tempo is a non-partisan organisation designed to deliver positive change by unlocking the fastest pathways to a sustainable and productive society. As a start-up, the brief was to create a new identity and full suite of associated brand assets, aligned to their strategy and values.
My approach
The client wanted a brand that reflected a balance of data with a human feel. As this would sit within the family of the Stonehaven and Robertsbridge companies, we kept this in mind; using aspects of the existing brands in a different way, to feel disruptive yet familiar. What we created was a distinctive identity that would be recognisable on digital platforms, with enough flexibility to evolve with the organisation over time. I designed the 'wave form' graphic, now the distinctive element of the brand, to evoke a sense of acceleration, momentum and collectiveness and help to tie different elements of the brand together. On the imagery front, we wanted to reflect the people at the heart of the data and insights, by building a collection of on the ground, point of view shots, showcasing people in their daily lives. By keeping faces turned away or blurred in motion, we were able to use imagery that felt relevant across different regions.
